23rd May
We can now most definitely tell that Esta is pregnant and that we can see
her growing day by day before our very eyes! Esta's scan day is tomorrow
the 24th and I am very excited at the prospect of seeing the little ones
and looking forward to getting a picture just as we do when we have our
scans, I won't know exactly how many there are or their sex until I see
the scan and 'just' seeing them will be wonderful.
Today it has been a very hot day and Esta has had her first visit from
prospective new owners of the puppies. She has been very tired with the
heat and has been inside where it is cool most of the day.
24th May
Esta
has been for her scan today - Monday 24th May. We can confirm
that there are several little ones on the way! We cannot, as
yet, see the sex of the little ones as they are still so very
tiny, lots of little black bubbles moving around!
Esta was such a good girl and stood still for the vet the
whole time. Afterwards we went to collect the children from
school, where she was showered with affection from the
children's friends! She simply loves the attention she is
getting, all the pampering at home and extra treats to eat
during the day to keep the hunger pangs at bay.
Only three weeks or so and we will hopefully have a house
full! Watch this space.

No
real news, Esta is getting bigger by the day, she has been
visited by a few different families now, who are all very keen
to have her babies when they are ready to leave . We are all
very excited and waiting patiently. Esta has been overseeing
the work being done on the 'whelping- room'! It is to her
satisfaction - we hope! She is very 'clingy' to me now
and doesn't want to leave my side. Tired too most of the time
- although still keen to go for a walk with the others. (She
doesn't want to miss out!)

15th June
Not
long now, we are all very excited and have welcomed lots of
visitors in the last few weeks. Mum is sleeping downstairs
with me now - On the floor! - Does she think she's a dog?!
Don't know that she will be able to keep that up for long! I
will let you all know when these little monkeys finally
arrive! Hopefully not during the night - My mum's
useless without her sleep!

June to 22nd June
The
puppies have arrived, 8 of them in total, all alive and well.
Esta coped beautifully and is already an excellent mother - if
only it was so quick and easy for humans!

cute photos.

Well, how excited are we today?
two of us have opened our eyes! Yeeaahh! Another
milestone, the two of us can also get about a little steadier
than our sisters and brothers too! Can't wait for teeth now -
Don't think Mum agrees though! She has already ordered the
puppy porridge! We are getting bigger and stronger everyday,
what I'd like to know is why we have a constant audience? Mum
is always hanging around? Frightened she'll miss something no
doubt!
Esta is having little breaks
away from the babies while they nap, out in the lovely
sunshine - but never too far away - our door handles are
absolutely shot to pieces!! She has to keep running back in
doors to 'check we are all still here'!
1st July
We
have all opened our eyes now and how gorgeous are we! We have
started to 'get up' and are a little bit more mobile! Let the
fun begin!!!!
Esta
is coping very well considering that the pups are double the
size they were when they were born, the constant pummeling
of her tummy with those little talons (which have to be
snipped quite frequently!) .
4th
July
We
are having time out of our little den now and have encountered
Auntie Mabel & Uncle Ralph, they're great fun! Uncle Ralph
does a dance every time we go near him! And Auntie Mabel's
like Mum, all she wants to do is 'wash us!' We think
Uncle Ralph knows that our teeth are on the way
through!!
